LOWER TEES AT INGLEBY BARWICK

This fishery is located at FRANK’S FARM on the south bank of the TEES at Ingleby Barwick, extending for around a mile and a half, roughly between Eaglescliffe Golf Course and Preston Park.

You do need to be able bodied as there is a hill to climb from the river bank back up to the car park, although it is not too long it is quite steep.

This stretch of river used to be tidal before the erection of the Tees Barrage, the water is now held back to what used to be the high water line resulting in nice clean and easy banks to fish from with main species being Roach and Bream, however with the explosion of Roach comes a big increase in the number of Jack Pike and it surely wont be long before some of these become real monsters.

The river round this area is improving all the time and is a fantastic venue to use the Pole- Whip or feeder, although the depth varies it is generally fairly deep close in and at 10 metres you might find 8-15 ft depth.
For those that used to fish Ireland, the same tactics work here, give it a try.

Sorry about the photo! Yes its me the Secretary fishing my favourite spot, as it is the only picture available at the moment I thought I might as well use it.
