River Tees Croft Sewage Discharge

On the first match of the new season Sunday 19th June there was a report of a sewage discharge from an overflow which is on peg 2 downstream of Croft road bridge. The discharge was so severe that it washed the unfortunate members fishing tackle into the river, fortunatly he manged to save it. There was another incident on Sunday the 17th July.

So in light of this I would ask any members fishing this peg to be aware that this outlet is only supposed to overflow in storm conditions which was not the case on both of the above occasions.

If possible could you please record any incidents of any discharge of sewage any photos would be a great help and forward them onto the Secretary. Please also report it to the E.A. on their pollution report number 0800 80 70 60

--------------

I would like to inform all members that the Angling Trust have launched a new webpage with regards to Cormorants and other predatory birds. What they are asking all anglers to do is to log any sightings on either rivers or ponds with a date & time.
For more information please go to the Predatory Birds Link.

--------------

It seems that we are once again experiencing problems with LITTER on our fishery at Faceby would all members please take their litter away with them. In the past we have had to revert to closing the fishery for this reason so please be warned.

We have also had reports of people camping here this is in breach of club rules any member caught doing could face loosing their membership.

-----------------

Please note there will be no open meeting night in May due to a bank holiday the next meeting will be held on the 13th June 2011

--------------------
Would members please stick to the track going down to the fishery at Gilling West as there has been some damage caused due to members avoinding the puddles which are only about 3 inches deep thank you.

Cutting out Kilgram & Croft Sunday 21 March 2010

Kilgram Bridge - River Ure:

Just to let you all know we have put in a lot of hard work creating fishing pegs on this stretch of river: starting from the bridge going right up to the first bend in the river which can be easily identified at the moment but as the season moves on they may well become hidden from view by the weed growth, hence you may need to find youself a path through this to achieve access to the fishing.

May I thank: Bernie, Paul, Charlie, Micheal, Jim, Gordon for attending on the day for a job well done.

Croft - River Tees:

Report to follow:

Padlock Gilling West

Padlock on Gilling West Fishery the combination number can be found on the front cover of your members rule book, please note you will need to compress the lock together to unlock it and to lock it, due to the lock being a compression type lock.
