KILGRAM BRIDGE
Kilgram Bridge is situated on the River Ure near the village of Thornton Steward.
This is a beautiful dales fishery consisting of mainly shallow runs and glides, sometimes dropping off into deeper slower water.
The lower reaches of this section are in the main tree lined and most suited to bait fishing, whilst the upper stretches are much more open banked and particularly suitable for the fly as well as bait fishing.
If you catch this river right Chub bags to over the 100lb mark are a real possibility.
Also present in good numbers are Brown Trout, Grayling, Barbel, Perch & Ruff, in fact this water is probably our best winter Grayling fishery with good stocks throughout the length.
